Start with comedy content, pivot to Twitch

SuburbBaby is a Nigerian-American content creator who initially started making TikTok videos at the start of his career, which revolved around comedic vlogs. He also made skits based on real-life scenarios, such as college life, dating, and relationships. This content helped him amass a sizable following before he expanded to Instagram and YouTube. The creator continued with a similar form of content, but was able to reach a wider audience on YouTube andgained millions of followers in the process.

SuburbBaby made a Twitch channel in 2024 and started livestreaming similar comedic content. Despite having millions of followers on other platforms, Twitch was significantly slower for the streamer, and he only had a few thousand followers. The streamer’s max viewers were also low, but he has been consistently broadcasting content regardless. SuburbBaby has become known for collaborating with popular creators, such as Twitch star Kai Cenat, and he’s also been featured in a video of IRL YouTuber Darren “iShowSpeed” Watkins Jr.

However, SuburbBaby gained substantial exposure when he joined Kai Cenat’s
Streamer University 2026 as a student. The content creator set a massive max viewer record and gained several hundred thousand followers.

The two were apparently also contemplating marriage, but Kai Cenat advised the streamer against it.

The Twitch star told SuburbBaby that the attraction is likely just during the event, and it will likely fade once the two exit campus. It’s unclear whether the two streamers were using each other for content, and if the marriage bit was also for the viewers, but it’s safe to say that the two have broken up, regardless of whether the relationship was real or for views.

SuburbBaby has received a massive boost from Streamer University 2026, but the streamer has a big challenge ahead. He needs to maintain the viewers and followers even though
the event has ended. This means he will need to continue making an effort to engage with viewers while keeping them entertained. The good thing about SuburbBaby’s content is that he uses comedy and his personality, and isn’t dependent on a game or another element.

If SuburbBaby continues to create content similarly, with bits of comedy and collaboration with other creators, it can work out well.
He is still gaining Twitch followers despite the Streamer University ending, and there is substantial potential for him to continue growing with the right strategy.
