Another Athletes Unlimited Softball season is about to come to an end, which means its officially time to determine a 2026 champion.
In just its second season, the AUSL is still achieving historic firsts for the sport. They’ll do it again this weekend, when the 2026 championship series opener becomes the first professional softball game ever televised on a U.S. broadcast network.
After a long and intense season of play, only two teams remain in the running for a title — the Chicago Bandits and defending champion Utah Talons. The Bandits clinched their spot in the final series with a 6-5 victory over the Portland Cascade in an 11-inning play-in game on Thursday night.
