The question has been asked. Where are Static and Vixen in DC Comics November 2026 solicits and solicitations? The answer is… they are not. Well, Static is in New Titans, but what of his announced ongoing comic book series? And what of Vixen? Wel, here’s what we knew:

• Vixen #1 by Stephanie Williams and Khary Randolph was announced at San Diego Comic-Con
• So was Static #1 by Cody Ziglar and Diego Olortegui was also announced at San Diego Comic-Con
• And for that matter, Batman: Shadow Of The Bat #1 by Deniz Camp and Javier Rodriguez was also also announced at San Diego Comic-Con
• Oh and also Steel #1 by Morgan Hampton. No sign of that either.

But Bleeding Cool has seen this note in the DC Comics catalogue…

Basically, they are coming. Not yet. Maybe December. Maybe January. But definitely not November… Sorry. James Portis III of the #DCSoWhite and #DCBlackOut campaign which has campaigned for DC Comics to publish at least one ongoing series with a black character in the DC Universe tells me “This raises concerns for many because the SDCC announcements felt like the answer we’ve been looking for. It felt like a fresh opportunity to combat the narrative that ‘black books don’t sell’. I have the upmost faith in the creative teams. Stephanie Williams has been dropping information and has so many fans excited for what’s coming. The lack of release dates though, impedes us from beginning phase 3, which is mobilizing fans and educating them on how sales work so that we can make sure these ongoings have the longest runs possible. #DCBlackup begins when we have solicitations.”
