What is the Fortnite Pirate Shop? Token details, how to access, and more
Fortnite Pirate Shop provides a free Item Shop (Image
The Treasure Hunters Mini-Season has introduced one of Fortnite’s most generous features yet: the Pirate Shop. It’s a token system that lets lucky players claim the entire Item Shop for free over a limited period. If you are interested in knowing more details about the Fortnite Pirate Shop, you can take a look at the section below. We provide all details on what it is, how to get a token, and how to use it
What is the Pirate Shop in Fortnite?
The Pirate Shop is a new token-based feature that unlocks every cosmetic in the Item Shop at no V-Bucks cost. Once you activate a token, you can claim everything on offer for 14 days. That includes paid skins and cosmetics, such as the Luffy skin from the One Piece collaboration. There are limits. The token can’t be used for real-money offers, gifting, Battle Pass levels, or Sidekicks you already own. So it covers regular shop items, but not every purchase option in the game.
How to get a Pirate Shop Access token
The token is rare, and finding one comes down to luck. You need to open Treasure Hunt Chests on the new Crossbones Isle map. These chests are located inside buildings at named points of interest. When you open a chest, it glows golden and drops special loot. If you’re lucky, a Pirate Shop Access token is among the items. There’s no guaranteed method, so the best strategy is to visit as many named locations as you can and open every Treasure Hunt Chest you spot.If you play in a party, you also benefit from your teammates’ luck. When one player finds an exclusive Treasure Chest item or the token, everyone in the party gets it too.

How many times can you use it?
Each token gives you two activations, not one. You’ll get a message in the lobby that explains the dates:
- First activation: November 1 to December 15, 2026
- Second activation: January 1 to December 15, 2027
Each activation lasts 14 days once you start it. Plan around those windows, because they determine the best time to use your token. If the shop includes a skin you’ve wanted for a long time, activating it before the first window ends is a good move.
How to activate the token
- Open the Fortnite Item Shop
. - Select the “Plunder the Item Shop” option at the bottom right.
- Click “Activate Now” on the activation menu.
- Claim any items in the shop for free over the next 14 days.
The 14-day clock starts as soon as you activate, so don’t press the button unless you’re ready. The shop rotates daily, which means the more days you check in, the more items you can collect.
Restrictions to know
- Non-transferable: You can’t give the token to a friend, even though party members can receive tokens when you find one together.
- No gifting: Items claimed with the token can’t be sent as gifts.
- Limited coverage: Real-money offers, Battle Pass levels, and Sidekicks you already own are excluded.
The token is among the rarest items in the mini-season. A single token could save you thousands of V-Bucks over two activation periods.
