smartcms (스마트씨엠에스) and K-EnterTech Hub (K엔터테크허브) will host Waving Night at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4, at FastFive Samseong 4 in Gangnam, Seoul, to review entertainment tech in 2026 and look ahead to 2027.

The evening comes two months before CES 2027 (Jan. 6–9, Las Vegas). The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) has said the show will focus on what AI delivers for revenue and efficiency, Seoul Economic Daily reported on Oct. 14. Digital Hollywood, held the day before the show opens, covers microdramas, creator monetization and cinematic AI. Waving Night walks Korean entertainment, media and content companies through that agenda first.

Every attendee receives the briefing book Entertainment Tech 2027 Outlook and CES Analysis. “Waving” refers to riding the entertainment tech wave.

Film Nevada, ex-WarnerMedia, AICON: three overseas experts meet Korean companies

Kim Spurgeon is director of Film Nevada, part of the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED). She leads film, TV and digital media production attraction for the state and runs its film tax credit program of $10 million a year. Las Vegas, home of CES, is in Nevada.

Douglas Montgomery is a professor at Temple University, Japan Campus, and a former vice president at WarnerMedia. Jayce Tham co-founded the Singapore agency CreativesAtWork and the generative AI content studio Dear.AI, leads Singapore’s AICON AI event, and drives generative AI content and short-form drama production in Southeast Asia.

More than 25 entertainment sessions at CES 2026; in 2027 the yardstick is AI revenue

More than 25 entertainment panels and events took place at CES 2026, where Hollywood and creators debated AI production, copyright and the role of creators, the Associated Press reported on Jan. 7. More than 13,000 Koreans attended and nearly 800 Korean companies took part, CTA President and CEO Kinsey Fabrizio said.

Jung Han, CEO of K-EnterTech Hub, will present the 2026 review and 2027 outlook and the 2027 entertainment tech event plan: CES 2027 (Jan. 6–9, Las Vegas), SXSW 2027 (March 15–21, Austin), World IT Show 2027 (April 21–23, COEX, Seoul) and Waving Night 2027 (November, Seoul).

CES 2027 Entertainment Tech Insight Tour: seven products from KRW 500,000

A guided CES tour costs KRW 500,000 (about $360) for a half day or KRW 1.3 million (about $930) for a full day. Three networking meetings cost KRW 1 million; a presentation at the Jan. 7 Entertainment Tech Conference at Caesars Palace KRW 3 million; presentation plus exhibit KRW 5 million; and the SBS International (U.S.) coverage package KRW 10 million (VAT excluded). Conference attendance is free. See the CES 2027 entertainment tech article and the tour page.

KRW 30,000, pay online in advance or at the door

The fee of KRW 30,000 includes dinner and the briefing book. Pay in advance at the K-EnterTech Hub shop or on the day. Companies joining the CES 2027 program attend free; seats are limited to 30. Contact Nam Hyun-jung (남현정), CEO of smartcms, operation@smartcms.co.kr, +82 10-7644-8812.

Planning the CES week two months out

CTA expects CES 2027 to ask what AI actually delivers. From Digital Hollywood’s microdrama and creator-monetization sessions to Lenovo’s keynote at Sphere, examples of technology turning into revenue in entertainment will gather in Las Vegas that week. Waving Night is where Korean companies can decide in advance what to see and whom to meet.
