The action-packed glimpse showcases Vijay in multiple avatars, including a police officer, prisoner, and political leader, while offering fresh visuals from what is being billed as his farewell film before his complete transition into politics.
New promo released for Jana Nayagan ahead of release
The newly released promo features high-octane action sequences, dramatic visuals, and a rousing background score by Anirudh Ravichander. One of the most talked-about moments is Vijay‘s signature hand-slashing gesture, which has sparked widespread discussion online due to its resemblance to a gesture associated with Tamil Nadu’s political landscape. The video also introduces him with a title card referring to him as the “Honourable Chief Minister,” further strengthening the film’s political undertones.
The promo arrives after Jana Nayagan navigated several hurdles before its release. The film faced months of delays owing to certification issues with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), followed by a major setback when portions of the movie were leaked online earlier this year.
