If you’ve stepped into the Pechorsk Anomaly before, you know that survival here isn’t about rushing in guns blazing. It’s about preparation, tactical patience, and respecting the unknown. On September 24, 2026, we at CM Immersive are excited to bring the next evolution of our hardcore VR survival shooter to PlayStation VR2 with Into the Radius 2.

Our team took what the community loved about the original and rebuilt the experience to be deeper, visually striking, and far more tactile. At launch, players will get to immerse themselves in a brand-new single-player campaign, followed by a free post-launch update in Q4 2026 that introduces 2-player co-op.

    Modular loadouts and maintenance

A key focus for Into the Radius 2 was giving players total control over their gear. In a game where a delayed reload can mean starting over, your setup needs to feel like second nature.

We’ve overhauled the loadout system so you can physically configure your chest rigs, armor vests, and backpacks down to the exact angle and position of every pouch and holster. Whether you prefer quick-drawing a sidearm from your hip or reaching over your shoulder for a magazine in pitch darkness, the setup is entirely yours.

Weapon mechanics got a major upgrade as well. You can swap barrels, stocks, optics, grips, and magazines to match your exact tactical approach, and even paint your gear using over 15 solid colors and 10 camo patterns. Maintenance is far more granular now. Every modular part of a weapon tracks its own wear and dirtiness level, so when you use your cleaning spray and brush, you need to make sure you thoroughly cover each individual component. If you skip maintaining your gear between runs, dirty parts will cause your rifle to jam right when you need it most.

    Deadlier threats and anomalies

The Pechorsk Anomaly has shifted. It’s larger, visually haunting, and populated by entities that won’t just attack, they will outsmart you.

Environmental storytelling is everywhere, told through scattered notes, frozen human remnants, and bizarre artifacts: ordinary household objects that have been altered and twisted by the Radius itself.

The entities hunting you have also evolved. Mimics actively use cover, flank your position, and work together in dense fog. Fragments rush you straight on to break your defense, while Phantoms stay mostly invisible until you stop moving to focus directly on them. When Creeps appear, their speed and agility demand total focus and fast reflexes before you get swarmed.

Navigating the terrain is just as treacherous as facing the entities, with hazards behaving in unpredictable ways. Some build a charge before releasing lethal electric shocks or bursting into high-velocity shrapnel on contact, while others swallow surrounding light to plunge you into pitch blackness. You might encounter anomalies that latch onto your body before detonating, or force fields that violently blast you backward on impact. Navigating Distortion Zones requires specialized anti-distortion headgear to prevent your health from steadily draining. To top it off, the Tide periodically sweeps through, resetting enemy locations and loot spawns so you can never rely on a single comfortable routine.

    Powered by PlayStation VR2

Bringing Into the Radius 2 to PS VR2 allowed us to ground you even further inside this unsettling world by connecting our physics directly to the hardware:

Tactile Weapon Handling:Sense controller adaptive triggers provide unique resistance depending on the action of your firearm, allowing you to feel the distinct weight of different trigger pulls.

Haptic Feedback: Headset and controller haptics translate everything from the thrum of an anomaly pulse to the crunching impacts of close-quarter hits.

Crisp Visuals & Performance: Powered by native 90FPS performance and eye-tracked foveated rendering, distant anomalies and dense fog retain extreme clarity without sacrificing smoothness.

Spatial Audio: 3D Audio lets you pinpoint the clicking of a nearby hazard or the faint footsteps of a flanking enemy long before you see them.

    Co-op arriving Q4 2026

While the immediate priority at launch is delivering a complete, atmosphere-rich single-player campaign, survival doesn’t always have to be a solo journey. In Q4 2026, we’ll release a free update introducing 2-player co-op. You’ll be able to bring a partner into the Anomaly to share re

Building this sequel for our community has been a massive labor of love, and we can’t wait for both veterans and newcomers to enter the Pechorsk Anomaly on September 24.

Build your loadout, keep your weapons clean, and venture into the fog.

    See you in the Radius!
