Marvel Television has released a brand-new trailer for ‘VisionQuest,’ the upcoming Disney+ series starring Paul Bettany as the iconic synthetic Avenger.
The new footage offers a closer look at Vision’s strange new existence after he has been rebooted and escaped those who wanted to weaponise him. Now living in hiding and searching for a new sense of purpose, Vision turns inward and consults the AI personas embedded in his programming.
And some very familiar voices are waiting inside.
Vision finds himself interacting with F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S. and Ultron, with the latter threatening to become a particularly dangerous influence. As Vision attempts to understand who he is after everything he has endured, his quiet existence is shattered when a bounty is placed on his head.
Forced back on the run, Vision crosses paths with Thomas Shepherd, a mysterious young boy who may be the reincarnation of Vision’s son.
The connection between Vision and Thomas could hold the key to the boy’s identity, but with enemies closing in and Ultron lurking within his own programming, Vision must confront his past and battle against the darker elements of his own nature.
The series brings Vision’s story full circle while expanding the corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe established by ‘WandaVision.’
VisionQuest stars Paul Bettany, James Spader, Ruaridh Mollica, Todd Stashwick, T’Nia Miller, Lauren Morais, Orla Brady, Diane Morgan, Polly Frame, Henry Lewis and Jonathan Sayer, alongside Emily Hampshire and James D’Arcy.
The series is directed by Christopher J. Byrne, Gandja Monteiro and Vincenzo Natali, with Terry Matalas, Cindy Appel, Christopher Monfette, Nicole Falsetti and Matthew Okumura writing the series.
‘VisionQuest’ is the third and final chapter in the trilogy that began with the groundbreaking 2021 series ‘WandaVision’ and continued with 2024’s ‘Agatha All Along.’
