Victor Wembanyama’s first official Spurs action figure is here

In case you missed it, the long-awaited McFarlane Toys SportsPicks action figure of San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama is out just in time for the 2026-27 NBA season. And it’s … something.

The 6-inch posable figure features Wembanyama in his road blacks with a magnetized basketball that connects to his hands and a pegged display stand to show him off on your desk or shelf. Officially licensed by the NBA and NBPA, the figure’s jersey sports the Spurs logo on the front and Wembanyama’s name on the back.

If only the rest of it looked more like the real thing.

The 7-footer’s smaller likeness looks more like a buff Damon Wayans than the sinewy Frenchman the Alamo City and the rest of the pro-hoops world has come to love. The figure doesn’t even sport Wembanyama’s signature right-arm sleeve. Even Wemby’s first Funko Pop! bore that simple accessory and a better likeness.

While a bit of a letdown, the figure’s final look isn’t exactly a shock. The Wembanyama figure was previewed earlier this year as part of McFarlane Toys’ first wave of NBA figures since 2019.

McFarlane Toys first rolled out NBA figures in 2002 with a line that included a detailed, hyper-realistic Tim Duncan. The company would go on to manufacture other easily recognizable versions of Spurs greats Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker, David Robinson and George Gervin.

The McFarlane Wembanyama figure sells for $22.99 at Amazon, CLARKtoys,<a href="https://www.entertainmentearth.com/product/nba-mcfarlane-sportspicks-wave-1-san-antionio-spurs-victor-wembanyama-6inch-action-figure/mf10547″ rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>Entertainment Earth and McFarlane Toys Store.
