Venom Unleashed is back after only a week, and this time we’re looking toward the future.

With Charles Soule preparing to kick off a new era for Venom (out October 14th and FOC September 14th), we went back to Venom editor Jordan D. White with your questions about what comes next. That includes where Dylan and Sleeper fit into the picture, potential new villains, whether Andi Benton could return, and a tease for something Jordan has been waiting a long time to see play out.
Better yet, Jordan has given us an exclusive look at art from Venom #1, giving fans an early glimpse of what Soule and company have cooking.
Let’s get into it!

Thatvenomfanboy asks: Should we expect Dylan and Sleeper to play some roles in the upcoming Charles Soule’s Venom run? Considering they are both family to Eddie and the symbiote, should we expect them to appear?
Jordan D. White: I can’t say too much about it as I don’t want to spoil the ending of Queen in Black. For now, what I can say is that I know where both of them are, post-QIB, whether that be in the main Venom book or no.
Joao Gabriel asks: Can we expect something… spicy👀? From the new Soules’s run.
Jordan D. White: You actually can, yes. How did you know?

Nuka asks: What about this era are you guys looking forward to the most?
Jordan D. White: Charles has been cooking on this idea for a long while, so there is so much that I am looking forward to, but it’s all spoilers. There is one particular beat I am MOST looking forward to, but it’s not gonna play out for like a year or so.
Xena asks: Are we going to see Andi Benton in the Soule run?
Jordan D. White: No plans at this time. I guess bug Charles when you see him at cons. 😛
Bill asks: Will the Venom (2026) run return to having fan letters/questions from Venom fans at the end à la ‘Eddie’s clubhouse ‘? It’s similar to AIPT Q&As, but there’s a charm to having it on print.
Jordan D. White: We can see about doing a letters column, if we get some letters. Write in to [email protected], mark them “OK to print”!
Infamousjeb asks: In the new venom series will we be introduced to any new big Villains? When is Venom getting his own Venom?
Jordan D. White: Isn’t Spidey Venom’s Venom? We are going to see some foes that are new to Venom in there, for sure. There is actually a big villain for the larger, over-arching story, and he’s a pretty new villain with only one major appearance before.

General symbiote questions
Tux Droid asks: So, is Eddie, literally and metaphorically, the embodiment of the Anti-All that appeared in Defenders? It makes sense given how much Venom, the symbiotes, and Knull are related to dragons.
Jordan D. White: This is a question that Al is going to need to answer, I’m afraid. I am not qualified.
Mike asks: If there are fireproof symbiotes, are there sonicproof ones that won’t de-bond from their host until the host is liquified first?
Jordan D. White: Anything is possible, but we have yet to encounter one of those.
Betas asks: Is there any character you think would make a good symbiote host but has never been one?
Jordan D. White: Are there Marvel characters that have NOT been symbiote hosts? Maybe the Living Tribunal? Can we steal Booster Gold and give him one?
SleepyCatSymbiote asks: Earlier, Venom Unleashed talked about animal forms for the symbiote and Venom, then there was Cates and Venom-dog. Do you have an animal form preference for symbiotes? Also, Sleeper has stayed a cat. Are y’all cat people?
Jordan D. White: I am super a cat person, and there are lots of cat people in comics, yeah. I think the symbiote lends itself to a snake form, no? But it’s too close to what it normally looks like. So how about the symbiote becoming a massive killer rabbit? Like a really long-limbed, were-wolf-like rabbit creature. That would be neat.
That’s a wrap on Venom Unleashed #28! But wait, there’s more art, and a fresh survey to ask Jordan D. White anything!
