USJ has announced new special merchandise celebrating the 25th anniversary of Universal Studios Japan in Konohana Ward, Osaka. The new collections feature ONE PIECE × Jurassic Park and Detective Conan × Back to the Future. Anniversary messages have also arrived from Eiichiro Oda and Gosho Aoyama.
ONE PIECE × Jurassic Park and Detective Conan × Back to the Future
Popular anime franchises that have helped bring excitement to USJ over the years are joining forces with some of the park’s most iconic attractions. The collaborations embody the spirit of the 25th anniversary theme, “Discover U!!!”
For the ONE PIECE collaboration, Luffy is depicted in the lush tropical setting of the Jurassic Park area, holding a turkey leg and having a great time alongside a massive T. rex. The playful design combines the adventurous spirit unique to ONE PIECE with the dynamic world of Jurassic Park.
Detective Conan is collaborating with Back to the Future, which has returned to the spotlight at the 25th anniversary special event “Universal Cars and Stars Collection.” The design features Conan Edogawa and Professor Agasa in an homage to the iconic Back to the Future movie poster.

Every summer, they are kind enough to have us for the Premier Show, and I take full advantage of that by having an absolute blast at the park every year.
The park keeps evolving year after year, and whenever the staff tell me behind the scenes, “We’re working on a project like this right now,” they always look like they are having so much fun!
That becomes the smiles on the faces of next year’s guests. Of course it keeps going.
