The training dataset includes broadcasts, their recordings, clips, chats, as well as images and text on the channel page. According to the service’s help section, disabling the setting only affects future training cycles of Amazon’s models designed for generating text, audio, images, and video.
Twitch did not specify whether training had begun before the switch was introduced or how much material the corporation had already collected. When directly asked by a viewer, the service’s Director of Product, Mike Minton, replied that he did not know what data Amazon used in training its models.
The announcement sparked a strong reaction from the audience. Minton and Head of Community Mary Kish went live on Twitch’s official channel, where about 3,000 viewers gathered.

Kish described the introduction of the opt-out option as a response to the community’s stance against training generative models.
