Sports cards are like treasures that passionate collectors are eager to mine. That said, Topps unveils an intriguing approach to their latest NFL card release, just as they’ve done with their baseball and Star Wars collections.
The 2026 NFL Living Set uses the design of the 1956 Topps Football set, the company’s first NFL release after acquiring Bowman. But unlike previous hobby boxes, which include multiple cards, this set is offered at only one card per week.
Topps launched the set by featuring Tom Brady as card No. 1. The card’s design, by Josh Trout, depicts Brady wearing a white New England Patriots jersey.
It features a classic Bowman design and is printed on vintage trading card stock. The back of the card shows his personal details, career stats, and a brief copy of his achievements.
Aside from the open-edition base card, some buyers may receive a card with a different background. Meanwhile, the lucky ones may get the Chrome Refractor Parallel or the Chrome Superfractor 1/1 versions. The number of orders determines the odds of getting these special cards, and Topps unlocks additional Chrome versions as it reaches sales milestones.
Unfortunately, the Brady card isn’t available anymore. However, those who purchased the card must wait for their order, as Topps only prints the card after the selling period closes.
The 2026 Living Set also continues indefinitely, unlike traditional sets, which come with a checklist and a finite number of cards.
Travis Kelce Announced as Card No. 3, Now on Sale Starting at $9
If you missed out on Brady or the No. 2 card in the set, Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, you can now purchase card No. 3.
Designer Josh Trout announced Wednesday that Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is the latest choice, only available through Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 2 p.m. ET.
Just like Brady and JSN before him, you can buy this custom-designed Kelce print on the Topps website for $8.99 for one card, $32.49 for five cards, $54.99 for 10 cards, or $89.99 for 20 cards.
Kelce is in the midst of his 14th, and possibly final, NFL season with the Chiefs.
Already the franchise leader in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns, Kelce ranks 20th all-time among NFL receiving leaders, including wide receivers. Another 1,000-yard campaign in 2026 could place him as high as 13th on the list.
