High-quality videos from VTubers (Virtual YouTubers) and virtual creators are uploaded every day. From among them, I’ll introduce some videos that I personally think you should definitely watch. In particular, I’ll delve deeper into unique works, works with high technical skill and planning ability, and works that are timely, capturing the fun, effort, and talent of the creators!

[Verification] The theory that alcohol tastes best after walking 10km

Machikawa Biba, a big fan of alcohol, conducted an experiment to test how delicious alcohol tastes after walking 10 kilometers. The video captures his journey on foot from Odakyu’s Shonandai Station to Enoshima Station, a distance of approximately 10 kilometers, all in pursuit of the perfect drink.

It was a scorching 37 degrees Celsius. The difficulty of walking with a backpack on and enduring the heat is palpable through the video and his comments. That’s why the drink he had after completing the 10km seemed so incredibly delicious, and just watching it made me feel good. The atmosphere of the restaurant he entered and the food he was eating also seemed very appealing and made him look happy. This theory has undoubtedly been proven.

Machikawa Biba is petite, and one of the highlights is how cute and tiny she looks when she walks in the live-action footage. Her presence is realistically portrayed, with her movements perfectly synchronized with the camera shake and her shadow cast on the ground.

A 24-Hour Summer Vacation RTA Full of Miscalculations

Shiteharu uploaded a video about a whirlwind project to do everything summery in 24 hours. To conquer summer all by herself in one day, Shiteharu attempted to do insect catching, stargazing, a test of courage, radio calisthenics, sunflower fields, ice cream, BBQ, playing in the river, food stalls, the beach, shaved ice… far too much to experience in just one day.

To accomplish all of that, they show incredible energy by leaving on the last train and starting their day with activities that last all night. The intensity of their day is amazing as they tackle everything with tremendous force in order to experience what summer is all about. Their energy is so great that it’s funny, and at the same time, you are amazed by the vitality of their travel and activities.

As the title suggests, the series of “miscalculations” is what makes it unique. It’s such a grueling schedule that you might wonder if there were even any miscalculations to speak of, but the fact that he uses all of that as material for his vlog-style videos and connects them with lighthearted commentary is what makes Shiteharu’s challenge videos so interesting.

The video also features meticulously crafted visuals that showcase his skills, such as animation incorporated into radio calisthenics and photographs taken in a sunflower field. The fast-paced and addictive rhythm of the editing is another highlight.

【CHUNITHM】Chibi Patra and I came to the local arcade to play! Could it be ALL JUSTICE?! 【Suou Patra】

A video has been uploaded showing Suou Patra playing the music game “CHUNITHM,” which features her songs, together with Chibi Patra (1000 years old), a smaller version of Patra from the past. Will the two of them be able to clear the game…?

This video is fascinating because it realistically recreates the experience of playing CHUNITHM in a virtual arcade, standing in front of a machine. You can see ChibiPato selecting a fast-paced song and touching or waving his hand at the machine. In particular, ChibiPato’s hurried hand movements as he plays skillfully appear to be his first time trying the game, but his movements don’t look like those of a beginner, but rather those of a seasoned player. However, the fact that he doesn’t achieve a perfect combo and makes a few mistakes adds to the realism.

Given that Chibi Patra has a background of “coming from the past,” it’s interesting that she can appear on screen alongside the present-day Suou Patra. We don’t know what kind of filming techniques were used, but they are able to appear together. This fits perfectly into the unique visual style, and we see a heartwarming scene where one plays a game on a game console while the other cheers them on in the background.

Chibi Patra’s 3D appearance was unveiled at her birthday 3D LIVE. She also appears alongside the current Patra, and you can see them happily singing and dancing together.

In addition, the show will feature plenty of other content, such as singing while playing the guitar, and performing on stage with guests Suzuhara Ruru and Shigure Ui (9 years old).

【Waste of Technology】Adding “Tongue Tracking” to a Walking System Causes Unusual Behavior

Dr. Delete, whose unique virtual filming technology became a hot topic and went viral on X, is now developing a vlogging system that allows users to travel from the virtual world to the real world.

What’s amazing about Dr. Delete’s videos is that he manifests his virtual self in the real world, but in true Dr. Delete fashion, he goes beyond that technology and incorporates even more. He uses face tracking to stretch and shrink his face with his facial expressions and move his tongue freely. The benefit of adding this functionality is that it can be used to provoke, which, as the title suggests, is a complete waste of technology.

Nevertheless, it’s undoubtedly advanced technology. The way they seamlessly incorporate this technology into short videos—such as matching real-world light to virtual bodies and filming while descending stairs—makes me hope they’ll utilize it in future walking vlogs and other projects.

【VRChat】If you’re in Public, send me a friend request!!!!

noodle, Tachibana Rikka, Furan Shitai, and Beni Shake are having a talk session about topics related to VRChat. This time, they are discussing tips for finding good people by sending friend requests in VRChat’s public (anyone-friendly) areas.

Beginners, in particular, might wonder whether it’s okay to become friends with someone they’ve just met. The four of them are talking and laughing, including joking around, but the content of their conversation is actually quite serious and specific.

In particular, within the VRChat culture, differences in values and sensibilities tend to have a significant impact on building relationships. Furthermore, consideration for others’ feelings is often evident in VRChat beginner guidance.

Of course, everyone is different, so this isn’t necessarily the only answer. However, the video features a serious discussion about relationships in VRChat, including the reasons behind them, while also incorporating some jokes. So, if you’re someone who often wonders whether or not to send a friend request, this video is definitely worth watching for reference.

Nanami Hanon, a virtual YouTuber and personification of Port Shimizu, has announced that she will be working as an information desk attendant at the Shimizu Ward Office in Shizuoka City for the next six months.

This is apparently part of the Shizuoka AI Avatar Project, and two types of avatars will be installed: screen-mounted kiosk terminals and autonomous, self-driving avatars that go around searching for people in need.

This is an activity that only Nanami Hanon, now an AI, can do. This allows for a division of labor where humans handle tasks requiring in-depth discussion, while the AI terminal takes on tasks requiring more standardized communication. The ability to speak 13 languages is also a very useful skill.

What’s interesting is the tagline, “Its foster parents are the residents of Shimizu Ward.” This apparently refers to the fact that the AI Nanami Nami learns and grows through conversation. It’s also unique that it grows the more it’s talked to, and that the developers in Shimizu City refine it, creating a cycle. We’ll be watching to see what kind of results Nanami Nami’s activities will bring during its six-month operation from August 10th to the end of February next year, and whether it has the potential to become even more widespread in the future.

Lothar has uploaded a vlog documenting his travels around Okinawa. This time, he was guided by a friend who lives there, and the video shows him thoroughly enjoying everything from tourist spots to more off-the-beaten-path locations.

In the first part of this series, we explored northern Okinawa, visiting places like Nago City Hall, Pineapple Park, and Churaumi Aquarium.

In the second part, we see them searching for emotional spots in Okinawa, aiming for a great success in “emo-gari” (actively creating emotional moments). It’s fun to watch them capture not only the emotional moments in tourist spots, but also scenes that might be commonplace in Okinawa but can look emotional depending on how they are framed, as they strive to succeed in their emo-gari. Scenes of them taking pictures of their stuffed animals at a scenic spot on a coral beach and entering a shop with the atmosphere of a long-established store in a back alley continue, resulting in a series of successful emo-gari moments.

There are many parts where Lothar skillfully blends shots of herself from behind and self-shot-style front-facing shots with live-action footage, creating a video that makes you feel like you’re actually there, and you can see how she blends into Okinawa. The photos taken in the city and on public transport are also excellent. This technique is used in her other videos as well, making her one to watch as a VTuber who uploads walking and travel vlogs.

【#100ScaryStories】100 Tales: Fifty Stories You Can Still Turn Back From【Part 1】

Ghost stories are an essential part of summer! Hanakyoin Chieri streamed a 100-ghost storytelling session, spanning two parts and totaling 10 hours. The last time she did a 100-ghost storytelling session was in 2019 (part 1 and part 2). This time, after a 7-year hiatus, the presentation, storytelling, and overall authenticity of the storytelling have been further enhanced.

Sixteen VTubers belonging to the same agency, Upland, have also submitted scary stories. Each of them has put their heart and soul into creating a video that tells a terrifying story, and all of them are impressive works.

Every 13th of the month, Chieri Kakyoin hosts a segment called “Scary Story Chat” where she reads scary stories submitted by her viewers. As a result, the readings of the numerous scary stories submitted by viewers are of very high quality. Her readings are characterized by a tempo that stimulates the sense of fear.

Her storytelling skillfully balances the inherent horror of the ghost stories with the fun atmosphere of the broadcast, creating a charming environment where everyone can share in the fear while chatting amicably. This broadcast offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy Hanakyoin Chieri’s reactions and thoughts on the ghost stories, as well as her responses to the viewers who send them in.

[Cafe Trouble] Answering common problems in VTuber activities! [Relationship with listeners edition] New VTuber Rei Yuubari #YubariTime

Regardless of the type of activity, one of the common problems VTubers face is the sense of distance between themselves and their listeners. In this live stream, Yuushin Rei addresses this very issue.

First, the video considers what listeners mean to VTubers. While listeners are important and can be VTubers’ greatest allies, it also discusses how they can become their greatest enemies if a healthy distance isn’t maintained, and explains how to build good relationships with listeners. To that end, it offers practical advice on how to communicate your thoughts and feelings to your listeners.

Because he speaks from his own experience, his arguments are highly persuasive. While the talk is primarily aimed at VTubers who are struggling, listeners can also learn about what VTubers are thinking and what listeners should pay attention to.

The slides are very well-made, and each topic is divided into chapters, making the archive very easy to view. While it’s recommended to watch from the beginning as there’s plenty of specific information, it’s also thoughtfully designed so that you can jump in from the parts that interest you. This shows Yuushin Rei’s consideration for her listeners and her skill in conveying her thoughts to them.

    【Original Anime MV】Kyapi【Houshou Marine / hololive】

The music video for Houshou Marine’s new song is a fun animated video that beautifully portrays the relationship between her fans and the idol Houshou Marine. The lyrics, composition, and arrangement are by Teniwoha, and the storyboards were created by Houshou Marine herself.

The animation comically depicts the contrast between Houshou Marine, who flirts with a group of men, and the men, who are unable to make a move on her. It also shows the contrast between a group of women who have a passionate crush on Houshou Marine, and her inability to make a move on them. When Houshou Marine is feeling down, she is cheered up by kind words from her group and recovers, which is exactly the same behavior she sometimes shows in her streams, so it might be a point that will bring a smile to the faces of her fans.

Her energetic dance performance as an idol makes her shine brightly on stage. The sight of her fans watching and cheering her on is also endearing. This music video beautifully portrays the close yet distant relationship between Houshou Marine and her fans.

This song, which has a character song feel and a strong idol vibe, was brilliantly sung by Houshou Marine with her bubbly vocals. She perfectly expresses both low-energy and high-energy states, and the drastic fluctuations in her emotions through her singing.

The title “Kyapi” likely reflects her desire to remain cute, and her coquettish charm. Many people, like the other characters in the music video, may find themselves wanting to support her as she radiates cuteness.

At the 7th Anniversary 3D Live, numerous guests were invited to present a spectacular stage show. Among them was a collaborative song with Kaguya, a character from “Super Princess Kaguya!”. The energetic and boisterous Kaguya and the exaggerated reactions of Houshou Marine were a perfect match, resulting in a stage that combined cuteness and humor. It’s a must-see for fans of both.

    【Original Anime MV】Re,bloom*/Yuuki Sakuna【Jin】

Sakuna Yuuki has released an animated music video for her original song “Re,bloom*”. The lyrics and music were Komori Samemasu participated in some of the character supervision

This song, with its bright and cheerful melody and vocals, is sure to leave you feeling refreshed.

The animation depicts a girl who once carried heavy burdens of sadness, now savoring happiness in her new life. As the lyrics say, “Things I want to say, things I want to do, I’m engrossed in them now, I’ll jump in and be amazed by the dazzling scenery that I can’t miss,” the world she looks up to is full of brilliance and a sense of fulfillment. Of course, she has also experienced pain along the way, as the lyrics say, “The traces of tears make me who I am,” but now light overflows before her eyes. Her appearance on stage as an idol is also filled with excitement.

Her bright and positive singing voice leaves a lasting impression. Her powerful vocals, singing “But I love this moment, this heart that sings with these vibrant colors is who I am,” convey a sense of hope and determination. This uplifting song makes you hope that one day, just like in the music video, she’ll perform on a big stage in real life.

【Original Song】Blue That Is There Still / Asuka Washu (official)

The music video for Washu Asuka’s first original song, “Ano Ao wa Mada” (That Blue Is Still There), has been released. The video is in the style of manga panels and tells the story of Washu Asuka standing in front of everyone with a microphone in her hand.

In the description, Washu Asuka writes that when creating the song, she held meetings where she reflected on “what kind of life she has lived, how she sees herself, and what she was thinking at that time.” From passing the audition to struggling on stage and singing on a rooftop, this song seems to be a way of exploring her journey from various angles and expressing it in diverse ways.

Her vocals, sung over a band sound with incredible momentum, are refreshing and full of unstoppable energy. The strength of her feelings is palpable in her powerful singing of “But still, I can’t give up.”

Her vocals, reflecting her positive outlook, convey both pain and joy. Her voice, singing “No matter how many times we can’t believe in ourselves, we still take another step forward today,” was filled with strong determination.

This song allows you to savor each and every step she has taken, and it’s a piece that will give you courage when you listen to it.
