The Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is soon coming to your favourite MMORPGs game, MapleStory.
Nexon Media has announced a new crossover between MapleStory and the fan favourite fantasy anime Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.
The special event will begin on September 9, portraying Frieren, Fern, and Stark into MapleStory’s mesmerizing 2D world.
A newly released trailer gives us the better idea as to how the crossover will showcase three characters transformed into MapleStory’s adorable chibi-style designs.
Frieren’s Magic Meets MapleStory:
While the collaboration may sound rumour at first, but nevertheless Frieren and MapleStory collaboration is really welcoming!
MapleStory is already our fan favourite game for decades with its anime-inspired visuals and fantasy-based gameplay. Frieren is one of the best anime to collaborate for the game.
The anime itself also draws heavily from classic RPG ideas. Frieren’s journey is a story that focuses on exploring a fantasy world, fighting monsters, learning magic, and meeting different characters along the way. Those same elements are at the core of MapleStory’s gameplay.
The upcoming event will definitely focus on showing the similarities by putting players alongside Frieren as they explore a new storyline and complete special missions.
Moreover, players will be able to take part in collection challenges, battle powerful bosses, gather magic spells, and unlock exclusive rewards inspired by the anime.
The highlight of the game is definitely the spell-collecting feature that is particularly fitting for Frieren.
Throughout her journey, the elven mage has developed a habit of collecting all kinds of magic, including spells that seem to be useless but personally fascinating to her.
What to Expect From the Collaboration:
As we can say, Nexon has to reveal a lot of details of the event, so sadly it is still a mystery as to how Frieren, Fern, and Stark will be incorporated into the gameplay.
If you are curious to know, more information is expected to arrive ahead of the September 9 launch. Moreover, Nexon has a commitment for providing additional previews covering the event’s story, activities, and rewards.
Exclusively for the Frieren fans, the collaboration also comes with the revisit of our beloved characters while waiting for the anime’s next chapter.
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 3 is scheduled to premiere in October 2027. The new season is said to adapt the Golden Land Arc, one of the manga’s most anticipated storylines, where Frieren’s group will eventually cross paths with Macht, one of the Demon King’s most formidable former servants.
But till the anime new season release fans can catch up on the first two seasons of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End on Crunchyroll.
