Twitch streamer Silky accused a Lowe’s employee of racial profiling after the streamer was prevented from filming at the outlet and had to leave.

Twitch streamer Jerry “Silky” accused a Lowe’s employee of racial profiling during an October 24, 2026, live broadcast, after she asked him not to film at the store while he tried to buy a drill. After leaving with his cameraman, the former FaZe Clan member claimed, “They used my skin color as a way to just take their hatred out on me.”

Footage of the aftermath circulated on X after clip page @viewsceo shared a video captioned, “Silky gets emotional after being ‘racially profiled’ and KICKED OUT of a store for recording.” Silky had entered the store with the camera on him, with the intention of making a quick purchase. A staff member saw Silky and the cameraman and called out to them, informing the duo that they couldn’t record inside the store. The content creator responded with “I just wanna buy a drill,” and tried to reason with her. However, the female employee informed him and his cameraman that it was unfortunately “store policy,” after which the two left the establishment. Outside the store, Silky criticized the employee’s demeanor:

“*** Lowe’s, and if anybody from Lowe’s is watching this **** and you just saw and witnessed what just happened in there. She looked me dead in my face and it looked like it was disgust, and I honestly felt super uncomfortable and super ******* weird. That’s the first time I’ve ever been in a situation like that. There was not one single person in Lowe’s that could’ve been recorded. I was not gonna record them either. It doesn’t make any sense why I couldn’t just hurry up and buy a drill. They used my skin color as a way to just take their hatred out on me.”*

Silky also said that he wasn’t “using the race card.” He stated that he had never seen a Lowe’s employee remove someone for carrying a camera:

“If you are Black and you wanna come to Lowe’s, know that they’re going to give you a weird look. Everything was good up until they saw my color, no cap.”

He added that the aisles were nearly empty and compared his treatment to that of controversial streamer Jack Doherty:

“There was not one single soul in there. I told them I’m gonna have the camera only on my face, is that even gonna be a problem? They think I’m like Jack Doherty or***, even if it was JD they would have let JD in, um, so I’m gonna screen past that.”*

The clip garnered over 110,000 views on X and drew pushback in the comment section. Most respondents disagreed with Silky’s accusation, and it was pointed out that most retail chains prohibit unauthorized commercial filming to protect customer and employee privacy. X user @XizorSenko criticized the streamer for bringing a live camera crew into the store:

“Or maybe nobody wants a camera shoved up their**??”*

    Streamer Silky’s Past Racism Allegations

Silky has previously raised allegations of racism during several high-profile streaming disputes. In September 2026, the content creator accused fellow streamer Zack “Asmongold” of racism during a feud over leaked direct messages and a clip involving streamer Bonnie. Asmongold denied the claim on broadcast and stated that his disagreement with Silky was unrelated to race.

In October 2025, Silky called Twitch CEO Dan Clancy “racist” after the executive omitted Black creators Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed from his personal Mount Rushmore of streamers. Earlier, in June 2025, it was revealed that Silky barred streamer Mizkif from a FaZe Clan party over racist remarks.

Neither Lowe’s nor Silky has released a follow-up statement regarding the October 24, 2026, incident.

    By JamesJuly 18, 20260

Modern gaming is an increasingly expensive hobby, mainly because of the constant investments studios make in games and the AI-driven crisis, which pushes component prices even higher. Graphics cards and RAM keep getting more expensive, driven in part by AI data centers that are causing shortages, while consoles also face the same issue, with price increases…
