Vocalist threatens legal action against makers of The Vvaan for using song without permission

Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia’s upcoming film The Vvaan, which is inspired from the Van Devi Temple lore, has run into trouble after an artist named Sargam Vaish accused the makers of using his music without his permission. A few hours ago, the vocalist shared a video, making shocking claims.

Vocalist accuses The Vvaan makers of using his song

Vaish, in his video, revealed that he had been working on a project for three years, from which the song has allegedly been used inThe Vvaan trailer. He further claimed that around 25 seconds of his song Aigiri Nandini were used in the trailer.

In the video, the vocalist also added a screenshot of his music, which is shown as modified on March 9, 2024, while claiming that the ‘production and vocals’ have been used by the makers as it is. In his video, he also requested the makers to remove his song from the trailer as well as the film, while warning them of legal action.

Along with his video message for The Vvaan makers, Vaish also penned a note in the caption that read, “REMOVE MY SONG FROM THE VVAAN I recently came across the “THE VVAAN – Official Trailer” and noticed that my original song has been used in it without my permission or consent. I have not given permission for my music to be used in the trailer or for its promotion.”

“This is very important to me because I have already signed this work with a major music label, and this unauthorized use could affect my existing contract. I believe every artist deserves to have their work respected. No artist’s work should be used without their permission. I kindly request the concerned team to please remove my music and contact me directly. If there is any valid permission or license for its use, I would appreciate being provided the details. I’m sharing this here because I genuinely need your support. Please share this post and help me reach the right people. Thank you to everyone who stands with independent artists and respects their work,” he added.
