The beloved adult animated action-comedy series premiered on Adult Swim on Feb. 16, 2003. It ran for seven seasons, concluding its 81-episode (and four specials) run on Oct. 7, 2018. It’s one of the network’s longest-running shows. For the uninitiated, the series follows “the bizarre escapades of pseudo-heroic scientist Dr. Rusty Venture, his competent, high-strung bodyguard, and his two overenthusiastic sons.”
The Venture Bros.main voice cast lent their talents to multiple characters, including James Urbaniakas Rusty Venture, Christopher McCulloch as Hank Venture/The Monarch, Michael Sinterniklass as Dean Venture, Patrick Warburton as Brock Samson, Doc Hammer as Dr. Mrs. The Monarch/Billy Quizboy, and Steven Rattazzias Dr. Byron Orpheus. The series hailed from McCulloch (as Jackson Publick) and Hammer, who were executive producers.
It received universal acclaim from critics and audiences alike throughout its 15-year tenure. On the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, The Venture Bros.sits pretty at 92% on the Tomatometer and 95% on the Popcornmeter. IndieWire included the show on its list of “The 77 Best Animated Series of All Time,” and Screen Rant also recognized it as one of the “10 Best Adult Swim Series of All Time.”
