    Count Binface flies to SelfMadeHero!

SelfMadeHero, UK’s independent publisher of graphic novels, has announced that an unoficial The Count Binface Comic Book will be published on 6th August  2026 – and it won’t come crammed with the infuriating AI slop that was never part of the candidate’s promotional election material. Plus, the publisher is making a donation to homeless charity Shelter for every purchase.

For years, Earth has staggered from one crisis to another: malfunctioning hand dryers, unaffordable croissants and the disappearance of Ceefax. Politicians promised solutions. Pundits offered analysis. But only one intergalactic space warrior had the vision, the cape and the bin-shaped head to Make Earth Great Again.

And then something happened. Count Binface arrived from planet Sigma IX. He took on prime ministers, mayors, and assorted human calamities; he won votes, hearts, and at least one moral victory. Along the way, he became Britain’s most formidable Recyclon, defender of common sense, enemy of the planet Copyright and tireless champion of the Lovejoy box set.

Now, with more than 30 of the finest comics creators on planet Earth receiving the Bin-Signal, the revolutionary 72-page The Count Binface Comic Book anthology brings the Binface universe gloriously to life. Expect space battles, political nonsense, cosmic bureaucracy, recycled wisdom, and more heroic rubbish than you can fit in a wheelie bin.

This bin-tastic anthology is an unauthorised celebration of the extraterrestrial politician, Count Binface. The collection features contributions from more than 30 of planet Earth’s most exciting comics creators and cartoonists including Krent Able, Steven Appleby, Becky Barnicoat, Hannah Berry, Babak Ganjei, Dave McKean, Martin Rowson and Bryan Talbot, with cover art by JAKe Detonator. 10% of every sale will be donated to Shelter.

The Count Binface Comic Book will be available in-store at London comics store GOSH on 6th August, and will be on sale at other good bookshops and online in the week leading up to Thursday 13th August by-election in Clacton, where the real Count Binfaceis battling for votes with Reform UK leader Nigel Farage.

Perhaps to counter than facing parliamentary scrutiny for widely-reported funding “discrepancies”, Nigel Farage resigned his seat in Clacton, seeking a mandate from former voters for support in his approach to politics and his party.

None of the major British political parties has chosen to contest the by-election, but he is facing 33 candidates who have including
Nick the Incredible Flying Brick, just one of a number of The Official Monster Raving Loony Party candidates, and Marcus White, the Everyone is God Party candidate.

(There may be some genuinely serious candidates in the full list, too, but it’s very difficult to tell).
