    DAY 1: Thursday, July 23

Marvel’s Wolverine – Deep Cuts Panel

In Hall H, Insomniac Games surprised fans with a brand-new story trailer for Marvel’s Wolverine, which opened with a confrontation between an enraged Logan and Jean Grey. The new trailer also spotlighted some of the game’s foes, like the Handin their trademark red garb, as well as Deathstrike, who serves as one the story’s big bads. But that’s not all! Fans can also get up to speed on the narrative events leading up to Marvel’s Wolverine main story with a prequel comicwritten by Insomniac Games’ Narrative Director Walt Williams with beautiful art by Luke Ross and a stunning cover by Iban Coello.

    MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls

You heard it here folks, Phoenix Cyclops (voiced by Ray Chase) will be the first additional character joining MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Soulsas part of the game’s Year 1 plan! Inspired by his Phoenix Five incarnation in AVENGERS VS. X-MEN (2012), this version of Cyclops sports a bold new look infused with the fiery cosmic power of the Phoenix Force. Game producer Takeshi Yamanaka and localization director Amber Seitz, both from Arc System Works, also discussed the game’s high-octane anime opening, combining the spirit of classic fighting games with the charm and energy of beloved anime openings from the early 2000s.
