    TRAILERS

Teaser for ‘Bill Sienkiewicz: That Polish Guy’ Doc on the Comic Artist

“I’ve always felt like the mad scientist. So for me, comics and painting and art, has been whatever sticks to the paper.” ComicBookPros has unveiled a teaser trailer for a documentary film titled Bill Sienkiewicz: That Polish Guy, all about the iconic artist named Bill Sienkiewicz (you can even follow him right on IG @therealthatpolishguy). This teaser initially premiered at San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend and is now available online. Explore the life of one of pop culture’s most unique and impactful artists. That Polish Guy doc features fellow comic artists and writers such as Jim Lee, Kevin Smith, Jimmy Palmiotti, and even prominent actors and illustrators like Vincent D’Onofrio and Peter Ramsey. All of them (and many others) will speak about how Sienkiewicz’s work has revolutionized comic book art and influenced the broader art world. You may not know his name, but you may recognize his art from many comics: Moon Knight, New Mutants, Elektra: Assassin, Stray Toasters, Daredevil: Love & War, Brought to Light, Voodoo Child, and more. Always cool to see an entire doc about artists, their process, and their personality. Check it out below.

Here’s the first teaser trailer for Remsy Atassi’s doc Bill Sienkiewicz: That Polish Guy, from YouTube:

“I’m incredibly excited about the documentary; it’s both humbling and nerve-wracking to see my life’s work splayed out on-screen accompanied by observations by so many of my creative heroes. But more, I’m excited because the documentary discusses the obsessive need to make art, as part of the unifying human experience, a drive that defies language, place or even medium of choice. That drive is something we all share and I’m proud, in the words of the great Cormac McCarthy, to carry that fire.” –Bill Sienkiewicz
