Who would believe the question of Taylor Swift‘s fandom and devotion to the New York Knicks would become an issue?
Well, it has and the team moved quickly to douse it.
Guard Tyler Kolek and Miles McBride were asked on a a livestream who was the fakest celebrity they had seen courtside at a game.
The backup guard Kokek repsonded: “At the Knicks games, I would say it’s very performative because like they just want to be seen at the game. They’re not necessarily fans. Probably Taylor Swift.” McBride agreed.
Given Swift and Travis Kelce held their elaborte wedding at Madison Square Garden, home of the Knicks, no surprise the NBA team reacted, um, swiftly, to end any further discussion.
“Taylor Swift has been a Knicks fan for many years, has a long history with Madison Square Garden, and we are incredibly appreciative of her support of the organization,” the spokesperson said.
