The pop superstar’s final concert special, Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show, earned five Emmy nominations on Wednesday, July 8, just days after Swift married Travis Kelce on July 3. Swift, 36, received recognition as both a performer and producer for the Disney+ special, marking another milestone for the record-breaking tour
The concert film premiered on Dec. 12, 2025, capturing the final show of Swift’s massive Eras Tour, where she performed songs spanning nearly every era of her career from Speak Now and 1989 to Folklore and Reputation. Filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, the special gave fans a front-row seat to the closing night of the tour, which made history as the first concert tour to gross over $2 billion worldwide

The Disney+ release follows the success of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, the original theatrical concert film, which became the highest-grossing concert movie of all time after earning $267.1 million worldwide. While The Final Show was released directly on streaming, the Eras Tour itself became a global phenomenon, breaking records both onstage and at the box office

Swift and the special are nominated in the Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded) category, alongside executive producers Baz Halpin, Mark Bracco and Linda Gierahn, supervising producer Rose-Ellen Galluzzo and line producer Bradley Stein

The five nominations for Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show include Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded), Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special, Outstanding Picture Editing for Variety Programming, Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Variety Series or Special, and Outstanding Technical Direction and Camerawork for a Special
The special will compete for Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded) against Dave Chappelle: The Unstoppable (Netflix), The Muppet Show (Disney+), Nikki Glaser: Good Girl (Hulu) and Wicked: One Wonderful Night (NBC)
Swift previously earned an Emmy win in 2015 for Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media for AMEX Unstaged: Taylor Swift Experience. This year’s nomination adds another major awards-season moment for the singer, who continues to expand her footprint across music, film and television
The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards will take place Monday, Sept. 14, 2026, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Hosted by Mariska Hargitay, the ceremony will air live on NBC and stream on Peacock at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT
