Lioness continues to dominate on Paramount+ after jaw dropping Season 3 finale

Lioness maintains its grip on the Paramount+ charts following its Season 3 finale. According to FlixPatrol data from September 23, 2026, the Taylor Sheridan series holds the No. 1 spot on the platform’s TV shows chart. The show has now occupied that position for 196 consecutive days domestically.

The Season 3 finale, titled “The Unraveling,” aired on September 20, 2026. It revealed that Aaliyah Amrohi, the target from Season 1, masterminded Joe McNamara’s abduction throughout the season. Aaliyah, now married and living in Qatar, ordered another attempt on Joe. She plans to lure the entire Lioness team into a trap by capturing their leader again.

The finale also delivered a major blow to Joe’s personal life. Her husband Neal left with their daughters after Joe chose work over returning home. Meanwhile, QRF members Tex and Randy sustained gunshot wounds during a brutal firefight in Washington, D.C. Both survived surgery, but their injuries underscore the season’s rising stakes.

Season 3 has earned strong critical reception alongside its viewership dominance. The season holds an 85% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 13 reviews. It also earned a weighted average score of 76 on Metacritic from five critics. These marks represent a significant improvement over the first season’s 56% Rotten Tomatoes score.

The show also ranks No. 1 on the Amazon Channels overall chart and No. 4 on the broader Amazon TV shows chart. Paramount+ has not yet announced an official renewal for Season 4. The finale’s cliffhanger ending, however, strongly sets up a continuation of the story.
