Launching a new video game console is no simple task, even for an industry giant like Sony, and in today’s world of rising costs and component supply issues, it seems even Sony’s CEO Hiroko Totoki isn’t quite sure when the PlayStation 6 will actually launch.
Sony has filed a patent describing an AI-controlled decoy account system intended to identify scammers, spammers, cheaters, and potential predators on PlayStation. The filing, application number 18/314775, was published on August 13, 2026.
