Overrated shows exist on plenty of platforms, but to me, Netflix has a slew of them. While the streaming site does have plenty of greatshows, like the recently ended Stranger Thingsor some great underrated ones as well, there are some big shows that get a little too much hype or control too much conversation.

Paramount+’s spy thriller The Agency returned for its 10-episode second season in June, following CIA operative Martian (Michael Fassbender) as he dealt with the fallout of becoming a double agent to save the woman he loves, Dr. Sami Zahir (Jodie Turner-Smith).
Prime Video is known for two things: dad shows and teen romances. Both are front and center in Prime Video’s new releases for August, and both are prime examples of the genres done right.
