The Chase for the NASCAR Cup Series championship is officially here. Beginning with this weekend’s Cook Out Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway, 16 drivers will duke it out over a 10-race stretch. The driver with the most points at the conclusion of the 10 races will be crown the series champion.

MADISON, Ill. (Sept. 1, 2026) –The JJK 5K returns to World Wide Technology Raceway this Labor Day, bringing participants an expanded entertainment lineup, a new kid zone and a full day of family-friendly activities as one of the region’s most anticipated holiday traditions takes place Monday, Sept. 7, beginning at 9 a.m.

The NASCAR Cup Series heads back to Daytona this weekend for one final race ahead of the playoff Chase — get ready for the Coke Zero Sugar 400.

For the first time in a while, there will be no NASCAR race coming to screens Sunday. Joey Logano took the checkered flag in the Cook Out 400 Saturday night in Richmond, and the drivers will round out the weekend with some rest.
