Disney confirmed in October 2026 thata Glee reboot is heading to Disney+ and Hulu, with original cocreator Ryan Murphy at the helm and original studio 20th Television attached to the project.

One day after it was confirmed that Disney+ and Hulu have placed a series order for a Glee reboot, the actress—who joined the cast in season four as Kitty Wilde—admitted the news struck quite a chord.

The problem with a Glee reboot is that Glee only works bc it is a byproduct of the purgatory that is the end of the 00s. The sheen of the 2008 crash, the 1st Obama presidency, and the intro of the iPhone create such a specific atmosphere under which Glee’s zanyness could thrive.
