Valve has officially opened reservations for the <a href="https://comicvibe.com/valve-steam-frame-review-solid-standalone-vr-thats-too-little-too-late/" title="Valve Steam Frame review: Solid standalone VR that's too little, too late”>Steam Frame, its new stand-alone VR headset. Rather than launching with a traditional preorder system, the company is using a reservation queue designed to help reduce scalping and give more buyers a fair shot at purchasing one.
It starts at $1,059 for 256GB or $1,299 for 1TB, and every purchase includes a copy of Half-Life: Alyx if you don’t already own it.

Reservations are open now through Sept. 17 at 10 a.m. PT on Steam. After signups close, Valve will randomly assign reservation orders before sending confirmation emails to customers later that day. If you’re hoping to get your hands on one, here’s everything you need to know.

The headset also launches with support for 130 stand-alone Verified games and includes Half-Life: Alyx for new owners who don’t already have it in their Steam library.
