Are you ready for a treasure hunt? The Splatoon™ Raiders game is out now, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch™ 2 system!
Play as a mechanic working with Deep Cut—a trio of swashbuckling musicians—and venture out into the mysterious Spirhalite Islands. You’ll customize your character’s look, kit yourself out with gadgets and ink-splattering weapons, and take on waves of unconventional baddies called Salmonids (yeah…let’s go with “unconventional”).
Your objective: raid the islands for treasure and cause as much stylish chaos as you can. Some of the treasure can even be used to craft and upgrade your gear for the next raid!
So what IS a “single-player-focused” adventure?
Glad you asked! While Splatoon Raiders is mainly a single-player adventure, you won’t exactly be alone while playing it. You see, one member of Deep Cut will raid alongside you in a powerful bot that you can direct by issuing it commands. This bot can launch you to new heights and build up powerful Showstopper attacks to unleash absolute heck upon your foes.
You can also join with up to three other players online* orfriends or need a helping hand from someone online
Choose a tank and gadgets that suit your splatting style
Dealing damage and mayhem is a large part of the game, so let’s get into the ink of things, shall we? You’ll equip one of three tanks, each giving you access to specific gadgets. Pick the one that matches your play style…or swap tanks between missions to try a different approach. You may be surprised by what puts a twinkle in your eye. Here’s a quick lowdown on the tanks:

Power Tank: Feel like tackling the swarms of Salmonids head-on? The Power Tank’s gadgets will have you smashing through crowds with brute force.

Speed Tank: If finesse is more your thing, try the Speed Tank and its assortment of mobility gadgets. As the old saying goes, they can’t hurt you if they can’t hit you! (Is that an old saying?)

Tactical Tank: Of course, the thinking Inklings (and Octolings) will want to check out the Tactical Tank, which sports gadgets that control the battlefield. Smart!
Don’t forget that you can further customize your tanks and gadgets using the loot you find. And we haven’t even mentioned the wide range of weapons you can wield and level up.
Dial in your difficulty
Need to dial down the difficulty during specific fights? Not a problem! You can change the difficulty anytime during this adventure. Oh, and the three difficulty settings only affect enemy strength—they do not change the loot you get on raids.
