Signs pointing to possible Nintendo Direct next week

We don’t have any sort of confirmation at this point, but a Nintendo Direct could very well be happening next Thursday, September 10.

Much has been made of a social media post going around regarding Just Dance: Decade of Hits. Essentially, some content surrounding the game leaked. Ubisoft made a post on social media to respond to the situation and said that more information will be shared on September 10.

For those that are unaware, Just Dance titles are a staple of Nintendo Directs. Last year’s Just Dance 2026 Edition was announced during one of Nintendo’s presentations, for example. We could therefore get a proper reveal of Just Dance: Decade of Hits during a September 2026 Nintendo Direct.

Something else being shared today is a new video from Switch Force, who mentions a potential Nintendo Direct for September 10 in a new video. It’s not clear if this is a prediction or a claim, but it does match up with the September date for Just Dance. Switch Force previously hinted at the September 2025 Nintendo Direct before it was announced.

The final piece of the puzzle, which is the most obvious thing here, is that Nintendo almost always has a Direct before the Tokyo Game Show. This year’s event starts on September 17, which basically leaves us with just a couple of weeks for potential dates. Nintendo should hold its event very soon based on previous patterns. 

Again, there’s nothing official from Nintendo at this time. But based on what’s going around today, next Thursday is a realistic possibility. If something does get officially announced, we’ll be sure to let you know.
