Holiday cheer arrives early this year with festive foul play. <a href="https://comicvibe.com/sctv-stars-now-update-on-cast-as-documentary-hits-netflix/” title=”‘SCTV’ Stars Now: Update on Cast as Documentary Hits Netflix”>Netflix has acquired the streaming rights to Hallmark’s holiday mystery series Mistletoe Murders, starring Grey’s Anatomy alumSarah Drew.
Cozy mystery fans will enjoy this holiday crime thriller for its quaint small-town festivities, amateur sleuthing, developing romances, and holiday charm. Thanks to this licensing agreement, seasons 1 and 2 of Mistletoe Murders will stream on Netflix in the United States on November 1, 2026. Get ready for a Sunday binge-watch.
The Sarah Drew-led series arrives on Netflix just in time for the holiday season. With the first two seasons dropping on Sunday, November 1, subscribers have four days to binge all 12 episodes before the story continues elsewhere. Those four days give you enough time to finishMistletoe Murders before season 3 officially premieres on the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark+ on Thursday, November 5, 2026.
Mistletoe Murders was adapted from the popular Audible podcast created by Ken Cuperus. It has quickly become a favorite among “cozy mystery” fans, who like the genre for its quirky local characters, low-stakes tension, and warm aesthetic over gritty, graphic violence. The series is a natural fit for Netflix’s winter lineup.
What is Mistletoe Murders about?
The series follows Emily Lane (Sarah Drew), the bright and bubbly owner of a year-round Christmas shop named “Under the Mistletoe” in charming Fletcher’s Grove. On the surface, Emily is just another holiday-loving local. But beneath her festive persona, she’s desperately trying to run from a painful secret she fears her new friends would use against her.
When local murders suddenly start rocking the tight-knit community, Emily’s hidden, razor-sharp investigative skills kick in. Much to the chagrin of local detective Sam Wilner (Peter Mooney), Emily gets drawn into the investigations, balancing running her shop with tracking small-town killers.
Mooney and Drew’s chemistry is the heart of the series. Since it’s a small town, Sam can’t escape Emily as his daughter Violet works in Emily’s holiday store, and he eventually starts to fall for her. It’s entertaining to watch Sam’s reactions as he slowly tolerates Emily’s involvement in his cases.
We don’t know if Netflix will eventually get season 3 of Mistletoe Murders, too. So, after you finish bingeing the first two seasons, you can only watch season 3 now on the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark+, beginning on Thursday, November 5. It’s another wonderful partnership between Netflix and Hallmark, created to bring you heartwarming holiday fun.
