RIOTUS is teaming up with Fantom Comics for a conversation and book signing with Eisner Award-nominated writer Stephanie Williams. For the first time ever, the rising star (Ignition Press, DC Comics, Marvel Comics, IDW Publishing, Mad Cave Studios) will be discussing her creator-owned miniseries Roots of Madness on Tuesday, Sept 22, 2026 at 6:30pm ET.
Horror fans are in for a good time as Williams weaves body horror with the period drama of Sinners in a story directly inspired by Madam CJ Walker the world’s first self made millionaire and pioneer in cosmetics and hair care for Black women.
Join Williams and pop culture pundit Sherin Nicole for the discussion at Fantom Comics and bring your questions!

Sherin Nicole(moderator)
author, pop culture pundit, host, producer
Sherin Nicole is a pop-culture pundit, an author, and might be a covert agent. The CIA offered her a college scholarship (but Sherin is too secretive for espionage). Since graduating from Howard University, she has worked in several creative spheres as a successful brand & marketing specialist. As an ‘agent raconteur’ and accredited critic, her work appears on RIOTUS, RogerEbert.com, idobi.com, Blcklst.com, and AWFJ. Widely quoted for her movie musings, Sherin contributes to various outlets where she gets nerdy about storytelling in every format—including the Geek Girl Riot radio show as its creator and producer. Culturally, she’s American, British-Caribbean, and Southern (complete with a love for grits, both sugary and savory). According to government reports Sherin resides in Washington DC, but she spends most of her time in the <a href="https://comicvibe.com/clearwater-oks-street-handovers-for-entertainment-center/” title=”Clearwater OKs street handovers for entertainment center”>entertainment realm and hopes to meet you there.
