    In one of its many lawsuits, <a href="https://www.thegamer.com/tag/roblox/” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>Roblox has argued that the case should be dismissed because the player at the centre of it signed away her right to sue when she was eight years old.

    As the wrongful death suit centres around Audree Heine, who died by suicide at age 13. Her mother is suing Roblox for being a “harmful and violent influence” on Heine, arguing that she was able to join a community that glorified school shooters despite parental controls. In response, Roblox argues that the lawsuit should be dismissed and go to arbitration, because this is stated in the terms and conditions that Heine agreed to when she was eight

    In a motion arguing its case, lawyers for Roblox say: “Roblox made the Terms plain and Audree repeatedly manifested her assent, as courts have routinely held in examining similar agreements and as the one at issue here.”

    Their argument, essentially, is that an eight-year-old ticked a box that agreed to the terms and conditions, which stated she would have to go through a “secret arbitration process” in any claims brought against Roblox.
