Roblox Corp(NYSE:RBLX) shares are trading higher Monday after BofA Securities and Wedbush raised their price targets on the gaming company’s stock. Here’s what you need to know.

    • Roblox shares are climbing with conviction. What’s behind RBLX gains?

    BofA Raises Roblox Price Target

BofA Securities analystOmar Dessoukymaintained a Neutral rating on Roblox while raising the price target to $48 from $44. The new figure works out to 20 times 2027 enterprise value to EBITDA projections, with Dessouky pushing that multiple higher because the analyst now sees better odds of a viral hit taking off on the platform.

Even with what the analyst called substantial product and strategic progress, he kept his rating unchanged, pointing to looming competition from Grand Theft Auto VI as a factor still weighing on his outlook.

Dessouky noted Roblox caters to very different types of players at once: older users who settle into a handful of favorite games for the long haul, and younger users constantly chasing whatever’s new. In his view, the platform’s actual goal isn’t keeping someone glued to one particular game, but keeping them engaged with Roblox broadly, achieved through a discovery system tailored individually to each pairing of user and game.

The BofA analyst argued this approach leaves room for unexpected hits to break out organically while simultaneously deepening engagement across the whole platform, citing the recent popularity surge of the game Steal an Egg as a possible sign of that dynamic playing out. Dessouky noted that the pace at which new titles are launching on the platform remains strong.

Wedbush Sees Opportunity But Wants More Proof On Monetization

Dessouky wasn’t alone in getting more bullish on where Roblox shares could head. Wedbush analyst Alicia Reeseraised the price target to $48 from $40 while keeping a Neutral rating, arriving at that figure using a roughly 23 times multiple on fiscal 2028 EBITDA estimates.

Reese pointed to the company’s recent developer conference as evidence that management is moving with real intent to reignite growth after a stretch of slower momentum, highlighting new safety features aimed at heading off regulatory pressure across the platform’s global markets.

In Reese’s read, the company is juggling three distinct challenges at once: holding onto its existing base of developers while pulling in fresh ones, especially those building content for adult players, using additions like the AI-assisted Build tool and friendlier payment options; getting players to actually find and stay engaged with games through changes such as browser-based access and offline play; and, the part she sees as furthest from being solved, translating all that engagement into actual dollars. She said she’s holding off on turning more optimistic until there’s clearer visibility into when these efforts start moving the needle on bookings.

Rounding out the trio of updates, Wells Fargo analyst Ken Gawrelski took a more bullish stance, maintaining an Overweight rating while raising the price target to $64 from $46.
