Roblox (NYSE:RBLX) reports third-quarter results on Thursday, Oct. 29. A string of guidance cuts and slowing bookings marked the first half of 2026. I want to know whether the summer hit Steal an Egg turned new engagement into real spending.
Monetization Slump Meets a Lowered Bar
Last quarter, revenue grew 36% to $1.5 billion. Bookings rose only 8% to $1.6 billion, which was the low end of guidance. DAUs reached 123 million, up 10% year over year. Management blamed two things: players moving away from high-spending viral games, and a recommendation algorithm that now puts long-term retention ahead of near-term spending.
CEO David Baszucki said bookings came in “below our internal goal.” For Q3, Roblox guided bookings to $1.58 billion to $1.65 billion. That would be a 14% to 18% decline from last year’s record quarter. Management also decided not to update its full-year outlook.
The stock closed at $52.91. It’s down 34.73% year to date but up 7.96% over the past month.
