Report: Xbox’s New Mythic Achievement is Like PlayStation‘s Platinum Trophy – News
Xbox is reportedly updating its achievement system with a new Mythic achievement that will be equivalent to PlayStation’s platinum trophy.
This is according to aa Mythic achievement when they unlock all achievements in a base game of a title. Achievements from title updates and DLC packs will not impact unlocking the Mythic achievement. They are worth zero Gamerscore
Klobrille in a post on social media says an update for the Xbox PC app has revealed the Mythic achievement. This includes the symbol and unlock sound.
Here are details on Mythic achievements:
- A Mythic achievement is awarded when a player unlocks all achievements in a game’s base list
- Achievements from title updates and DLC packs will not impact Mythic achievements
- Mythic achievements are retroactive and will apply to all games with achievements
- Mythic achievements are worth 0 Gamerscore
- There is a new system notification, sound, animation, and icon for Mythic achievements
- Game art will be decorated in achievement list view of the Gaming tab for each Mythic achievement unlocked
- A total count of Mythic achievements will display on your profile for all to see
