The characters in a TV series always need somewhere to hang out. It could be after school, after work, or just after a long day of demon slaying. Either way, a bar was always the perfect spot for many TV shows, and it always had some sort of fictional name. Just how well do you remember them?

Did you score 8/8 on this quiz? If you did, you’re a TV genius, and we’re impressed. Don’t worry if you didn’t get all of them. There was a mixture of dramas and sitcoms on that list, and we tried to avoid some of the more common fictional bars that our onscreen pals loved to hang out at. Make it your excuse to binge-watch the shows!

Most Iconic Bars in TV Shows

There are certain TV shows where the bars become the focal point-or just stand out so much-that many fans dream of having a place like that to go to.

The name Cheers came from the fictional bar itself. In the show, this bar was a place where everyone knew your name, and where you could quickly make friends-or sometimes enemies. Sam Malone would gather the locals together there so that they could all share about their lives, and there was no doubt that many viewers longed for a place just like it after a long day at work.

The Simpsons fans, meanwhile, have always wanted to visit Moe’s Tavern. Okay, there may be some questionable elements about it considering some of the regulars and the way Moe doesn’t exactly look after his place, but there’s something iconic about it. At least you can head to Universal to try Duff beer!

Want a place that has a feel of an Irish pub? How I Met Your Mother‘s MacLaren’s Pub is the place to be. With the wooden booths and the iconic glass, there’s everything to love about this New York City spot. It’s even inspired by a real Irish pub, so you know the beer and company are good.

What about a place to relax after some time spent demon slaying? The Bronze was a great hangout for high school kids on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. There were college kids and adults present at the nightclub to listen to the live music, but this was a place that also allowed under-21s for a fun night.

A place that was only for adults but had plenty of live music was P3 from Charmed. After she spent the first season working in a restaurant, Piper ended up investing in a nightclub, which she named after herself and her sisters’ magical selves: The Power of Three. P3 became the spot for all the big bangs, and there’s no doubt that we wanted to head there!
