RAREON, the trading card game (TCG) and collectibles platform within the PUNKVISM ecosystem, is expanding into wine-themed collectibles through a licensing agreement for the Japanese manga series The Drops of God.

The company announced on September 28 that it had signed an official licensing agreement to develop and launch TCG and collectible card products based on the series. The planned products will feature its characters, wines and storylines.

The Drops of God explores wine culture through storytelling, weaving the aromas and flavors of wine, its regions of origin and its history into the narrative.

Under the agreement, RAREON plans to develop and produce collectible card collections featuring the series’ main characters, storylines, wine-related content and artwork.

The collections will highlight the wines featured in the manga, the stories surrounding them and memorable scenes from the series. RAREON aims to give fans a new way to collect and enjoy The Drops of God while appealing to wine enthusiasts through the series’ distinctive blend of wine culture and storytelling.

RAREON produces and sells limited-edition physical cards featuring officially licensed athletes and characters. Its collections offer different rarity tiers and print runs, alongside special features such as hand-signed autograph cards. Previous releases have featured Brazilian footballers Roberto Carlos and Edmílson, as well as South Korean sports stars including basketball player Hur Jae, table tennis player Hyun Jung-hwa and badminton player Lee Yong Dae.

The agreement follows RAREON’s recent licensing deal for the Japanese animated series GO ASTRO BOY GO!, reflecting the platform’s continued expansion from sports collectibles into animation and other cultural content.

“We want to capture the world and storytelling of The Drops of God in a card collection that appeals to fans of the series, wine enthusiasts and collectors,” said Hyunki Hwang, CEO of RAREON. “Building on our work in sports and animation, we plan to expand our business into wine, gastronomy and cultural content.”
