New Capital Will Fuel Digital Media Expansion, Original Content and IP, Live Competition, Commerce and Strategic Growth

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla., Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Pro Shop, the innovative media platform connecting golf with mainstream culture, today announced the closing of a $24 million Series B financing round led by Arthur M. Blank Sports and Entertainment (AMBSE). The round also welcomes new investors Causeway Media Partners and Ares Sports, Media and Entertainment funds, alongside returning investors including PGA Tour, Powerhouse Capital, and Phoenix Capital Ventures.

Pro Shop will use the new capital to deepen its investment in digital media and original programming, including new talent-led franchises, premium live events and competition formats, and programming designed for social-first audiences. The funding will also support the continued expansion of Pro Shop’s owned-and-operated media brands and commerce businesses, as well as strategic acquisitions and partnerships across golf, media, and technology.

“When we launched Pro Shop, the thesis was that golf was entering a new era, one where fans were discovering and engaging with the game across more platforms, formats and communities than ever before,” said Chad Mumm, Co-Founder and President of Pro Shop. “The last two years have only reinforced that belief. We’ve deliberately built Pro Shop to meet modern golf fans wherever they are and give them more ways into the game. This investment allows us to keep building on that vision, backing great talent, creating new formats, and expanding the experiences that connect golf to the broader culture.”

In just over two years, Pro Shop has grown into a multi-platform media, entertainment and commerce company spanning premium film and television, digital and creator-led programming, live competition, community and consumer brands. That growth has mirrored golf’s broader cultural expansion, as younger and more digital-first audiences increasingly engage with the game across streaming, creators, social platforms, alternative competition, fashion, equipment and lifestyle. Today, Pro Shop reaches more than 35 million unique users across its portfolio and has doubled revenue year over year.

“Golf is now America’s largest-growing sport, and as its popularity rises, we’re seeing firsthand how people are discovering and engaging with the game in new ways,” said Troy Rice, CEO of PGA TOUR Superstore, an AMBSE company, who joins Pro Shop’s board as part of AMBSE’s lead investment in the Series B round. “From in-home simulators to listening to music while playing, golf entertainment venues and social platforms, these experiences are translating to more people picking up a club and playing on the course. Our investment in Pro Shop extends the ways we connect with golfers and fans through the programming they will produce.”

“Pro Shop has demonstrated a strong ability to connect with fans through compelling storytelling, innovative formats and new platforms, as well as being a key production partner of PGA Tour Studios” said Chris Wandell, PGA Tour SVP, Media & Licensing, and Pro Shop Board member. “We have seen firsthand the creativity and ambition the team brings to everything they do and are excited to support the next phase of what they’re building.”

Through Pro Shop Studios, the company has brought golf to mainstream entertainment audiences as producer of Netflix’s Full Swing and co-producer of Happy Gilmore 2 and The Hawk, while expanding into premium live competition through the PGA Tour’s Creator Classic and the revival of The Skins Game, which returned in November 2025 after a 17-year hiatus as part of Prime Video’s Black Friday sports lineup.

The broader Pro Shop portfolio also includes GolfWRX, trusted destination for golf equipment coverage, news and community forums which was acquired by Pro Shop in 2025; Sugarloaf Social Club, the lifestyle and commerce brand rooted in independent golf culture; and Paige Co., Pro Shop’s long-term media and consumer venture with leading golf creator Paige Spiranac.

The Series B follows Pro Shop’s $20 million Series A in 2024, led by Powerhouse Capital with participation from the PGA Tour, EP Golf Ventures, Marquee Ventures, Gametime Capital, Phoenix Capital Ventures and other investors across golf, entertainment and finance. Gunderson Dettmer served as legal counsel to Pro Shop.
