Fans of film, <a href="https://comicvibe.com/15-years-ago-today-fx-changed-horror-television-with-an-ambitious-anthology-series/” title=”15 Years Ago Today: FX Changed Horror Television With An Ambitious Anthology Series”>television, comics, gaming, and cosplay will be heading to Newport next month, as Fan TC Con returns for another day, celebrating all things pop culture.

The event takes place at 1Leisure Medina on Saturday, October 24, from 10am to 4pm, bringing together fans, collectors, cosplayers, and special guests from across the Island and beyond.

This year’s headline guest is actor, Paul McGann, best known to Doctor Who fans as the eighth Doctor. He will be joined by acclaimed film sculptor, Brian Muir, who created the original sculpted design for Darth Vader’s iconic helmet and armour.

Also appearing will be actor, Clem So, whose television and film credits include Doctor Who, Bond, Star Wars, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Guardians of the Galaxy and Doctor Strange, as well as authors, Reecy Pontiff and David Alan King.

There will be plenty to see and do throughout the day, including a Doctor Who zone, Star Wars-themed cantina, Ghostbusters, Chitty, a Harry Potter-inspired Hogsmeade, retro gaming, K-Pop activities, Q&A panels, and a free-to-enter cosplay competition with prizes.

A new feature this year will be the Fan TC Con trading card auction, giving collectors the opportunity to buy and sell cards, while helping to raise money for charity.

The event will also raise money for the Isle of Wight branch of the MS Society, with fund-raising forming an important part of the day.

Organiser, Roy Spearman, hopes Fan TC Con will once again provide an enjoyable day for families and fans, while supporting a cause working in the local community
