Following his departure from JioStar, Prashant Shetty is set to join Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (ZEEL) as Head of Ad Sales, according to sources familiar with the matter. In his new role, Shetty will lead the broadcaster’s ad sales operations across both linear television networks and digital platforms across all markets. His mandate centers on steering Zee’s integrated advertising strategy and maximizing monetization as the company moves toward unified, cross-platform offerings for brand partners and agencies.
The appointment comes at a pivotal time when major media networks are shifting toward cross-platform sales frameworks to address changing viewer consumption habits and demand for consolidated audience reach. Bringing over 25 years of media sales experience, Shetty spent nearly six years at JioStar as Executive Vice President of Ad Sales. His career also spans executive revenue roles across Star India, Sony Pictures Networks India, NDTV, and Sakal Media Group, making him a seasoned voice in television, digital, and multi-format brand monetisation.
