Post Malone needed no help in pulling off the perfect engagement.
Nearly two weeks after the “Sunflower” singer proposed to his fiancée Christy Lee, his bride-to-be detailed how he popped the question on their sprawling Utah ranch.
“There was something so special about being at our ranch, surrounded by the people we love most and all of our new little animals,” Lee told Voguein an interview published Aug. 28. “The whole evening felt incredibly intimate and personal. It was the most special moment of my life.”
Malone (real name Austin Post) proposed to Lee on Aug. 17, a little over a year after they first went public with their romance.
As for how the “I Had Some Help” singer began the evening, “Austin first surprised me with a baby Highland cow, bunnies, and chickens.”
“He had planned the most beautiful intimate dinner at the ranch,” she added, “with another surprise waiting for me—my best friends and parents were all there.”

As dinner came to an end, light rain began to fall, which is when the 31-year-old took Lee to a grand arch of greenery and white flowers to propose. After Lee accepted, all anyone could say was “congratulations” as the elegant dinner turned into an unforgettable celebration.
Lee’s friend Marina Hollyer confirmed the news on her Instagram Stories Aug. 19, posting several snaps of the couple posing together as Lee showed off her diamond ring while wearing a small veil and a sash that read, “Bride to Be.”
“My best friend in the world just got engaged,” Hollyer wrote alongside the photos. “Love you more than words Toph!!!”
As for the ring, the 22-year-old shared that Malone—dad to a 4-year-old daughter with ex-fiancée Hee Sung “Jamie” Park—took much longer than a fortnight to create the perfect custom ring.
“A couple months before the proposal, Austin started casually slipping these very ‘hypothetical’ questions about rings into conversation, trying to figure out what I liked without giving himself away,” Lee explained. “One day, completely out of the blue, he asked me, ‘Pear, heart, or cushion?’ I told him I’d always thought there was something so chic about an oval.”
A separate time, Malone asked if the stylist preferred a ring with diamonds wrapped along the band or framing a center stone.
“I told him I actually preferred the opposite,” she recalled, “something very simple, with a delicate, thin gold band.”
And when the “Better Now” hitmaker asked if Lee’s ring could ever be too big, “I jokingly told him I didn’t think so.”
In the end, all the little details Malone had acquired added up to Lee’s dream engagement ring—a custom 20-plus carat natural oval diamond ring on a thin gold band.
“When I saw it, I was honestly speechless,” Lee said. “He had somehow taken all of those little conversations and created exactly what I would have chosen for myself.”

The engagement was confirmed by pal Marina Hollyer, who posted a photo of the two on her Instagram Story Aug. 19 along with the caption: “My best friend in the world just got engaged.”
“I’d choose you in this life and every life,” she captioned photos of the proposal on Instagram. Here’s to forever, my love.”

Six of our friends were hiding on it, waiting to surprise Andrew and celebrate with us!”

“I’m on cloud 9 she said yes,” Lochte told TMZ. “I’m happy this is my new beginning, and I couldn’t do it without her.”

“My soulmate asked me to marry him,” she wrote on Instagram Feb. 11. “With every lifetime, every moment I have in front of me I said yes.”
“There’s some confusion,” she said. “It’s going around that I, that my guy Van Hunt—I’ve been dating him now for almost six years—well, there’s some confusion that he asked to marry me and I said no.”
However, “I did not say no,” Halle affirmed. “We just don’t have a date, but of course I said yes, I would marry him!”
“I was in complete shock!” she told People in a Jan. 7 interview. “My nervous system was trying to catch up to what just happened in this magical moment and I was also trying to process the iceberg that was being presented to me as well! I of course said ‘yes,’ and melted into what was the sweetest kiss I’ve ever felt!”
