Arriving February of 2027 is a new Nicholas Sparks adaptation, which is co-written by M. Night Shyamalan (he will also direct). Jake Gyllenhaal will lead the cast playing a grieving architect in a film described as a supernatural fantasy. See the teaser below.
According to more than one outlet, Netflix will not saddle up for season three of Ransom Canyon. The modern western drama has been cancelled. The plot followed would-be teen lovers who became friends and now have a chance to begin a romance.
While some issues are still unanswered at the end of season two, the show did give these characters Quinn (played by Minka Kelly) and Staten (played by Josh Duhamel) a nice and happy end, which now, means even more.
Acorn TV dropped a trailerandrelease date for its upcoming (and reportedly anticipated!) third season of Signora Volpe. The show follows Emilia Fox plays a former British spy who, the press release says, is recovering from her dangerous ordeal at the end of series 2. The show will return October 5 and have three 90-minute episodes.
FILM REVIEW | ‘PRACTICAL MAGIC 2’: A SEQUEL LOOKING FOR MORE MAGIC
In a story from the prior week that I neglected to include in last week’s roundup, Tom Cruise and Anne Hathaway announced in a social media post that she would join Cruise in the Days of Thunder sequel. The film won’t release until 2028 and not much more is known, but Hathaway and Cruise will be the leads of this sequel. The original film followed Cruise as Cole Trickle, a stock car driver who has a shot to fame, this 2028 film would follow the 1990 Days of Thunderfilm that starred Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman, and Robert Duvall.
The first to release their 2026 Christmas movie schedule is UPtv. They shared it this week through outlets and a press release, so naturally I shared the lineup here along with a printable checklist. What are you most excited to see?
Netflix announces that season three of Nobody Wants Thiswill drop October 22. The series is a romantic dramedy type story that follows Kristen Bell’s podcast and modern businesswoman who falls hopelessly for the good-looking and sometimes unconventional rabbi played by Adam Brody. The first look also teases a movein going on between Bell’s Joanne and Brody’s Noah.
