It’s not a major change, but it’s still a nice touch and a nifty addition to the PS5 Pro’s Welcome Hub.
PS5 Pro feature update adds special folder for exclusive Welcome Hub backgrounds
Players who’ve received the update (no manual update required) can now go to their Welcome Hub, and when they select the Change Background option, they’ll now see a folder titled PS5 Pro that contains console-exclusive themes not available on the base PS5.
So far, Sony has only rolled out four PS5 Pro-exclusive backgrounds, but given this little change, it looks like the company has plans to add more in the near future. Perhaps we’ll see a GTA VI PS5 Pro exclusive background?
That said, some of the themes in the PS5 Pro folder are new additions.
If you don’t have the update yet, you can try manually updating your system software featuresyour PS5 home screen (next to the profile thumbnail), then navigate down to System. From the drop-down menu on the right, select System Feature Updates, and then wait for the process to finish
