Kan. (KCTV) – A project that would bring an <a href="https://comicvibe.com/paranovus-entertainment-pavs-acquires-heyviva-athletic-wear-assets-for-33m/” title=”Paranovus Entertainment (PAVS) acquires Heyviva athletic wear assets for $33M”>entertainment, arts and education district to Gardner, Kansas, has been proposed by Velocity Arts, an event creator and entertainment company

Velocity Arts unveiled plans and an initial rendering for a 335-acre district that would combine live entertainment, education, hospitality and recreation in a mixed-use development.

“We’re not simply building another entertainment venue,” said Josh Shibler, Chief Executive Officer of Velocity Arts. “We’re creating a district where people can attend a concert, take a class, spend a weekend, meet with colleagues, discover local businesses and return again for a completely different experience. That combination is what makes this project unique.”

Velocity Arts said the current plans include a 15,000-seat indoor concert pavilion, a performing arts center, an esports arena and a media college, along with convention and meeting facilities, restaurants and retail businesses. The project also has plans for “an interconnected network of parks, waterfront amenities and public gathering spaces,” the company said.

Gardner Mayor Todd Winters expressed interest in the proposal.

“The City of Gardner is excited about the opportunity to welcome this proposed project to our community, and we appreciate Velocity Arts’ interest in Gardner and the potential economic and entertainment opportunities it could bring,” Winters said.

Renderings and designs for the district are from Kansas City-based architect Populous.

Velocity Arts said education is central to the district’s long-term vision. Plans for the area include a media-focused college for students to learn about live entertainment, production and digital media.
