S-Games teased that we would be getting “something unexpected” real soon, and it appears that the PlayStation Store might have just spoiled that surprise. As spotted by some users online, it looks like a playable demo for Phantom Blade Zero is set to release.
With a dedicated PlayStation State of Play happening next week, we’ll likely see a shadowdrop or a demo release date.
Phantom Blade Zero is Getting a Demo Before Its October Release
In case you missed the news, Phantom Blade 0 is now available for pre-order, with a brand-new trailer showing off 11 minutes of gameplay. As a surprise, the trailer also revealed that Hong Kong actor, filmmaker, martial artist, and action director Donnie Yen is serving as the game’s Creative Consultant, bringing his martial arts expertise to the game’s combat, as well as playing as one of the game’s characters.
This is probably the “unexpected surprise” they teased last week, but it also doesn’t appear to be the only surprise they have in store. With a dedicated PlayStation State of Play showcase happening next week, it seems they have one last surprise in store for us: a demo was briefly spotted (archived on <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/GamingLeaksAndRumours/comments/1vm0oti/phantom_blade_0s_demo_page_was_up_on_playstation/” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>Reddit)on the PlayStation Store before being taken down.
Chances are, we’ll see the demo shortly after the State of Play, like so many other games that got demo announcements during the showcase. Can’t wait to get my hands on this one!
Phantom Blade Zero officially launches on October 29, 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. A dedicated State of Play will air on August 17, 2026.
