Video games offer people a chance to not only hone certain skills they can use in everyday life, but bring those abilities into their relationships. And for gamers, they make incredible life partners for plenty of reasons.
Reasons people who play video games make great life partners
1. They’re very smart
There’s something rewarding about completing a particularly challenging level in a game. It’s not just a means of bragging, it actually takes some serious brain power.
In fact, multiple research studies support video games affecting the brain in positive ways. Not only does playing these games improve attention and spatial skills, it also boosts memory.
So, when someone has a partner who games regularly, they can feel proud telling everyone about their hobby. Because while some people may think gamers are just rotting their brains, they’re bringing that intellect and those skills into their relationships.

So, even if there isn’t an actual zombie outbreak to worry about, having a partner like this is incredibly useful for dealing with conflicts and building trust.

Whether they’re trying to save Princess Zelda or fighting off alien ships, they’re used to being in the role of a hero, or playing as a main character. But rather than taking on “main character energy” in their relationships, they tend to be very considerate of their partner.
