On Point is a WarioWare-inspired arcade shooter with new game modes and more in full release on Quest and PC VR.
Released in early access last year, On Point is a 90s-inspired VR light gun shooter game from Australian developer Actuator Digital. It’s now in full release with significant improvements and two new modes. “One Off” lets you play individual minigames of your choice, while “Marathon” has you trying to complete all 115 minigames in a row.
Several existing modes have been improved, and you can now earn Arcade Tickets as you play to unlock more options. You can also choose from new environments and over 60 mini-games, some of which are variations on existing options. Other changes include reworked menus to improve the UI, added accessibility options, new leaderboards, balance adjustments, and more.
We previously interviewed Actuator Digital about its Early Access launch and discussed the risks of creating an indie VR game with CEO Sebastian Fehr. It also touches on the inspiration for On Point and why the studio chose a more cartoonish approach. You can read the full text here.
On Point is currently released on the Meta Quest platform and SteamVR.
