Marvel Studios finally gave fans a first look at the upcoming streaming series,VisionQuest, at D23, pulling back the curtain on what’s sure to be one of the most bizarre projects in the studio’s history.
Crafted byTerry Matalas, VisionQuest has been described as a sort of techno-philosophical journey and certainly one of the studio’s weirdest projects to date which will include the return of James Spader‘s villainous murder bot, Ultron. While the series will see Vision try to reclaim his memories, a new synopsis explains he’ll also end up on the run alongside his son, reincarnated in the same way that Billy was in Agatha All Along.

Vision, rebooted and having escaped from those who sought to weaponize him, has been in hiding. Searching for new meaning, he consults the AI personas embedded in his programming, including Friday, Edith, Jarvis, and the infamous Ultron. His discreet existence ends when a bounty placed on his head thrusts him on the run with Thomas Shepard, a mysterious boy who may be Vision’s son, reincarnate. As Vision evades capture, he must confront his nature, resist Ultron’s influence, and unravel the enigma that is his young companion if he’s to survive.
